Monday Funday #70

Oh what a long weekend we had.  Mr. Boo had the tummy flu. Praise the Lord none of the rest of the family has come down with it. He is home with mom today so I can get him fed a little better.  He ate very little yesterday and spent most of the day just sitting which is not like him AT ALL. He is one of those guys that goes nonstop until we force him to go to bed at night, then the minute he gets still he is a goner. I spent my Saturday cleaning his bathroom every little bit.  He would let me know when he was done and tell me to come clean.  It was kind of comical.  He would say "okay, I'm done you can come clean it up now."   I have cleaned and washed my hands to the point that my hands are solid red and chapped from my wrists up. It was worth it to keep the rest of us from getting it though.  We did send Lulu off to the grandparents all day Saturday just to be safe.

On another note, we are having fantastic weather.  It is a little cool today but at least there is no snow or ice.  We could use a little rain however as we are very dry. I hope all of you had a fantastic weekend! I would love to hear what you did.

Stash Happy Felt Book Review

I have been reviewing some fun felty books lately and today I have another one to share with you. This one is Stash Happy Felt 30 Fun Projects For Felt (and Fabric) Lovers by Amanda Carestio. There are quite a few designers combined in this book to make a fantastic book full of fun projects.

There are lots of great projects in this book.  Each one has step by step instructions, as well as templates that can be found in the back of the book.  Some templates need to be enlarged and some of full size.

Here are a few projects in the book.

I love the owl lunch bag and may make one to take the kids after school snacks in.
Fantastic Trivets.
Cute sewing machine cover.

These two little guys are woodland bears and so cute.

I needed a new pin cushion so I decided to make this cute little whale.  It works up VERY fast!...and was so fun to make!

To see my finished pin cushion and get free projects from the book, head over to the Storybook Felts blog.

Monday Funday #69

Hey everyone.  It's that day again. Not much to report here.  We are all feeling better, if only I could get Boo over his barking cough.  He isn't feeling bad just doing a lot of barking.  We have finally thawed here in Antarctica Arkansas. We are finally in the 50s this week.

Boo has had some rough luck over the last few days though.  On top of the cough, his Wii died and he got his new 3ds wet and it isn't working at the moment.  I looked online to see if I could get the Wii fixed and it will cost $75 to fix it or $99 to buy a new Wii mini.  His 3ds is in a bag of rice trying to dry out.  Luckily, I bought it at Walmart and got the drop and soak warranty so I can send it off and get our money back to get a new one if it doesn't dry out.
